A home baptism is recorded in the ledger of the Sedgley, Coseley Old Meeting (Presbyterian), 1775-1837. This records three of Robert's children being baptised on the same day: Thomas, Martha and Hannnah. It gives information that Martha is his second wife and that he has at least five children in 1800. It also tells us that he was a joiner and cabinet maker and was born in Brierley. His wife, called Martha in this documentation had a maiden name of Bissell and her father was a lockmaker and she came from Coseley.
